American Kennel Club The American Kennel Club (AKC) was established in 1884 as a non-profit organization. The AKC maintains a purebred dog registry, sactions dog events and promotes responsible dog ownership. Membership of the AKC is comprised of independent dog clubs located throughout the United States with approximately 500 member clubs. The AKC holds quarterly meetings where rules are voted on by the delegates from each of the member clubs.
American Maltese Club of America The American Maltese Association (AMA) holds a membership of over 250 people from across America including residents of Canada, Japan, and Europe. The American Maltese Association National Specialites are held on an annual basis rotating from the East-to-Midwest-to-West Regions of the country.
American Shih Tzu Club The American Shih Tzu Club (ASTC) was formed in 1963 and has grown in membership both in local and foreign Shih Tzu club affiliates and organizations throughout the world. The ASTC is a member club of the American Kennel Club.
Yorkshire Terrier Club of America The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (YTCA) is a non-profit organization with over 500 members from all states across America as well as several foreign countries. The majority of members are breeders and exhibitors while others are owners of Yorkies as companions.
